This morning I took this pic. A mural by Otto Schade that is now a symbol: the last kiss of a couple before being swallowed by the tsunami of steel, glass and concrete that is coming behind them. Other murals in the nearby streets already died by the same fate. Worst enemy of street art are real estate developments. Developers follow the artists because they improve the urban areas, but newly built properties don’t like to have graffiti on their clean walls. The City of London is expanding pretty fast. Billions of Flight Capital is funnelled here (often after some re-papering in some offshore location) by multinationals, billionaires, oligarchs, drug lords etc. from around the World
