DOCUMENTARY // Street Art in TBILISI

We start at Fabrika, an old sewing factory that has been transformed into a hostel and an artistic and urban community. Its walls are covered by murals and it hosts art galleries and exhibitions Street art in Georgia does not have a long history, but it is becoming more and more popular. Tbilisi urban art is raw, full of politics and voicing social challenges that contemporary Georgian society is facing While walking around Tbilisi, it is impossible not to come across the works of an artist called LAMB. whose paintings are usually dominated with khinkali and LAMB But the most popular Georgian artists are probably Dr Love, recognised internationally, and Gagosh. Both artists like to bring the attention to social issues in an ironic form Time it’s over … we have barely scratched the surface of Tbilisi urban art. We will need to come back
