ZED1 // Suspended people
I'm trying to know more about Italian street artists. Definitely in the web, there is not the same level of blogs and info as for the London street art scene. I have been walking near Leoncavallo (a cultural centre) as the area has a high concentration of murals. This one in particular caught my attention: apparently it is by ZED1, a veteran graffiti artist whose distinctive signature is painting these suspended puppets, all with a distracted expression, all looking to an undefined point. I'm trying to understand what the artist wanted to communicate. While the puppets seem to be taken by a book with illustrations for children, the mood that the mural inspires is much less friendly and more uneasy. Any thoughts welcome
