ROA // Rats in London
Many street artists' works are inspired by the local environment and the community around. We have seen a few of them painting the unsung heroes of everyday life in previous posts. Belgian-artist ROA goes further. He specialized in painting local animals. In London urban environment, this means birds, hedgedogs, rabbits and a lot, but really a lot of ... rats. And he goes big. Difficult to find a ROA's mural smaller than 2x2 meters. This is one of the smallest one that I found. Always in black and white, ROA deploys an astonishing technique. He is unique among street artists and impossible to cathegorize. Having said that, I like colours and dislike rats, hence he is not in my (constantl) personal top-5
