DAN KITCHNER // Cities by night
If, on a rainy night, you follow this street to catch that bus, you'll hit a wall. The wall where Dan Kitchner painted one of his signature large murals. One recurring theme in DK's works is about night traffic under the rain with strong lights, reflected and blurred by the wet pavements. They are seems pretty real. This one in Camden has a clear reference to London (the bus) although others I saw in Brick Lane have a New York (you can tell by the shape of the American cards). From what I could research on the web, DK is very popular artist that started his artistic career indoor and went to the streets later on. His paintings are quite valuable in galleries and he produce and sells many canvas on the same subject
