ZABOU // Teenager girl
n late 2016 Zabou painted this 4x2mt mural in the yard of Hub67, a community center in Hackney Wick whose goal is to provide a space for young people and creative ideas. Zabou deployed here the best of her repertoire. Her characters, often girls and teenagers, have a distinctive natural optimism in their glaze. Sometime a bit irriverent, or sometimes a bit shy, this girl on light blue background is no exception. She seems totally captivated by the book which is one of the feature of the teenager years: who, at that age, hasn't dreamed, got excited, travelled with the phantasy and sighted reading a coming-of-age novel?
