UNKNOWN // An elephant escaping from the enforcers
I was looking for the Passing Clouds, a music venue in Dalston which has, according to a few blogs, a great collection of street art on his external walls. I passed by the place many time before realising that the venue does not exist anymore. A sign indicates that it has been repossessed by the landlord (for a residential development?) and all art has been covered. All except this elephant on the rear of the property. I had a laugh thinking that the elephant climbed up there, between the buildings, to escape to be covered up by the property enforcers. I was unable to figure out who is that artist that painted it up. Another example of gentrification
