Malta (2011)

AUGUST 2011 - 5 days spent visiting Malta. We started in Gozo where we spent a day cycling in the inland. Despite the very short distances, cyclying in Gozo is tough due to the steep slopes. Hence the second day we decided to take a boat trip around the island starting from the Blue Lagoon, a magnificent, carribean-style beach. Then we took the ferry to Malta where we visited the capital (La Valletta) and the nearby fortified cities of Mdina and Vittoriosa.

JUNE 2009 - Western Balkans. A short journey into 3 countries of ex-Jugloslavia. We started from Sarajevo. The city, despite the war of the '90s, is of the most lively and charming in Europe with an amazing nightlife. From Sarajevo we moved through the mountains of Bosnia and reach the Montenegro border near the town of Gorazde. A pretty bad road. Approximately 6 hours of driving for just 300km. In Montenegro we spent two days in Zabljak, a small alpine town. One day was dedicated to the Tara river where we made a whole day (8 hours) rafting up to the Bosnian border again. Finally, we spent the last two days in Dubrovnik, Croatia, enjoying the sun, the beach and the gorgeous nightlife.

SEPTEMBER 2014 - Claut is a small mountain town in the Dolomites. Its name means "closed field", which describes is location squeezed among the mountains. I discovered Claut when I was a child and spent the Summers here with my Grandmother.
