FRAC's GREAT ESCAPE (2009)

On October 7th 2009, I embarked on an adventure travel to Latin America, with my only companion being my backpack and the only pre-arranged commitment being a roundtrip flight London-Buenos Aires... I spent 10 weeks traveling between Argentina, Bolivia and Peru'...

Starting from Buenos Aires, I headed to the amazing Iguazu Falls, at the border with Brazil and Paraguay. Then Patagonia and Tierra del fuego... glaciares, lakes and wildlife before beginning the journey towards bolivia, passing through Cordoba, Salta, Humahuaca.

After almost a month exploring Argentina, my adventure continued in Bolivia through the La Quiaca / Villazon border. I was entered into a land of spectacular landscapes and countless places to be discovered. On the train to Tupiza, driving through the desert on the way to the Uyuni Salt Lake ... and then Sucre (the political capital of Bolivia), the mines of Potosi, the vibrant La Paz and the bucolic Amazonas basin.

After two months, I embarked on a eventful night bus trip and crossed the border to finally reach Peru where the ultimate goal of my adventure in South America was to reach the magnificent ruins of Machu Picchu.
